Blonde Redhead performed an interesting show last night at Webster Hall in New York City. The sold out venue was filled with eager BR fans all waiting patiently to hear their favorite hits. Some of the highlights included: riveting guitar solos from Armedeo Pace and trance like dance moves from Kazu Makino. The two songs that seemed to excite the crowd among many were: Here Sometimes and Dr. Strangeluv. I also must add that the lighting at the venue was pretty cool too, it added to the effect of the music.; At key moments the colors of the lights highlighted the bass and Kazu’s soft vocals.
Blonde Redhead gave an energetic and upbeat performance despite their celebration party the night before. After thanking the crowd for their support, Kazu admitted that she was paying the pricing of partying too hard ! Nevertheless the performance was flawless and honest. BR’s performance at Webster Hall confirmed what I ready knew… Blonde Redhead is one of those must see live bands!

And although I do not know what a “blonde redhead” really looks like.. I can sure appreciate what it sounds like, the psychedelic alternative sound that puts this band at the top of my favorite live indie band shows list!
