MAKE IT BUN DEM: BEAUTY. HAIR. DUBSTEP X
September 4, 2012 in My Music, STYLE

Here are a couple of shots from the video shoot I recently wrapped up! FYI, I’m really excited about new upcoming opportunities! ( I can’t wait to share). I did this post because I always get my make up done and never get a chance to capture the moment from my perspective. This look was for a video hosting segment, and I really like how natural and fresh my makeup looks, and especially how it complements my high bun. I’ve been rocking this high bun look all summer, it’s fresh and honestly it really keeps the hair out of my face. These photos will help you recreate the look and I made a list of the products that Quiyba (The Hair/ Makeup Artist) used below. Also, check out the Skrillex & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley – Make It Bun Dem After Hours (EP). This EP is an amazing combination of electronic dance and reggae music! I love that Damian Marley is continuing to work with artists from around the world, this sound adds so much more flavor to his already dope tracks! Damian Marley is one of my favorite Reggae artists and Skrillex is currently holding it down when it comes to electronic music …I Love the EP. You can purchase it on BeatPort.

So I recently performed my newest single “Visa” at the Polish Reggae Festival in Williamsburg, Brooklyn! That was my third show, and the first time that I performed ‘Visa’ all by itself … It was a great performance, and I loved the Polish crowd! For this show, I really wanted to add to showcase the personality of the song by adding a animal circus element to my style. I’ve been working with a stylist, Jay ( Yes, it’s just Jay with no last name)… He hooked me up with this amazing cat suit that fit like a glove, which was custom made my Marco Hall, and he also gave me this jewelry! In the track ‘ Visa’ you will hear a roaring lion and a lot of animal sounds that I recorded behind the track… It was really important for me to have these animals represented in the jewelry for the show, especially because I’m a jewelry fanatic! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for anything gold and sparkly! So stylist Jay got these pieces from his personal collection, I took a picture of each piece and posted above. Since the jewelry didn’t come from one store, I did a little research for some similar pieces that fit the theme of the look. A couple of people asked me where I got the jewelry and so I found these three similar items: The
Check out this new Marina & The Diamonds track ‘Primadonna’ … It’s an electro-pop mash up produced by Benny Benassi. The official release date is April 16th, but i’ve been listening to it on Spotify & Soundcloud. I love this track, it’s very girly and def. a great song for the Spring and Summer.
