LACE MILITARY HAT & COMMON ‘NO SELL OUT’

This baroque inspired military hat designed by Rodrigo Otazu is perfection.  I get a lot of my music and style influence from Baroque art and music, which means I seriously do spend a lot of time analyzing a lot of the patterns and sounds during that time.  The Baroque era was filled with over the top patterns, colors and gold! These are three things that I live for when it comes to my style.  I’m loving the lace on this hat with the gold chain, it gives me the Russian model spy vibe! Also, I think the color is everything! This light pink / orange color makes this military hat a lot more fun.  FYI I am 100% open to gifts and donations for my birthday on September 18, please feel free to message me if you plan on mailing me this hat directly, checks are also accepted … I’m just letting you all know in advance just in case you want to start saving up for my gift! Also check out one of my favorite artists Common’s newest track ‘No Sell Out’ produced by No ID … I’m loving the vibe and it goes with the military hat. I’m glad Common is coming out with new music again, he is one of my favorite rappers ( Chi town stand up)  Check it out below and get the free download!

MARINA & THE DIAMIONDS – PRIMADONNA X

Check out this new Marina & The Diamonds track ‘Primadonna’ …  It’s an electro-pop mash up produced by Benny Benassi.  The official release date is April 16th, but i’ve been listening to it on Spotify & Soundcloud.  I love this track, it’s very girly and def. a great song for the Spring and  Summer.  Marina & The Diamonds is dope, I’ve been listening to her for a while… I first discovered her music while I was in Japan, they kept playing ‘Mowgli’sRoad‘ on MTV, and since it was one of the few songs in English on that channel, I was def. enjoying it!  Check out her newest single below & let me know what you think.  I also put together my four primadonna inspired items:

IGGY AZALEA x MY WORLD ( FREE DOWNLOAD)

Check out Iggy Azalea, an Australian born MC that is redefining white, female & rapper… all at the same time.  I’m loving this track ‘My World’ its a hot and spicy track that adds a little variety to the hip hop scene.  I love that this track is just oozing with confidence and controversy… and I like controversy.  Iggy recently released her new album Ignorant Art (Free Download), and she is currently working with T.I on a future project.   Check out her ‘My World’ single below & get the free download!

TORTOISE & BLONDE COLLECTION & THE JANE DOZE MIXTAPE RELEASE

I recently checked out the Tortoise & Blonde collection at The Jane Doze mixtape release party. Tortoise & Blonde is a dope eyewear brand working with a lot of the current and popular musicians around NYC… like Ra Ra Riot, Pearl & The Beard and the Jane Doze.   I’m loving the Tortoise and Blonde glasses they are definitely stylish and chic. I tried on about four different frames, but my favorite ones were these leopard print frames I am wearing on Guest of a Guest.  In addition, I also hung out with The Jane Doze girls & we spoke about their music and recent mixtape which I posted below. Their new mixtape ‘Girl Talk’ has a little bit of everything, and it’s a mash up of pop, indie, hip hop and even some Whitney Houston … basically everything you can think of.  This is the kind of mixtape you would play on a girl’s night after downing about ten glasses of cranberry and vodkas at a NYC  nightclub. You know how it goes… standing on the couch, one hand in the air.  If you’re looking for the perfect music for a girls night then this mixtape is for you … promoter and vodka not included.  Download the new The Jane Doze mixtape here.
